  9. There are four files in this archive:
  10.  
  11. ZEST_MAT.LST       GFA Source Code to ZeST Disk Formatter
  12. ZEST_MAT.PRG       Compiled program of ZeST Disk Formatter
  13. ZEST_MED.LST       Converted ZeST Interface Routines for Medium Res
  14. READ.ME            This text file

  18. Running program:
  19.  
  20. Double click on ZEST_MAT.PRG
  21.  
  22. When program is first run, the format defaults are drive A, single
  23. sided, 80 tracks, and 9 sectors (Standard ST Format).
  24.  
  25. To change these, just click left mouse button on "<" or ">" buttons
  26.  
  27. Drive  A or B
  28. Sides  1 or 2
  29. Tracks 80,81,82
  30. Sectors 9,10,11
  31.  
  32. Right Mouse button gives Info
  33.  
  34. When you have selected what you want click on "Format"
  35. an alert box will be displayed making sure you really want to format.
  36. If so, click on "Yes". (If you click on "No",you will be returned to
  37. the original screen, at which point you can choose your parameters
  38. again)

  40. The format routine does an error check on each track, so if your
  41. drive cannot format any of the extended formats, an error code
  42. will be displayed in the format window.(If this occurs,you can
  43. abort the format by pressing either mouse button, so you don't
  44. have to sit through 80+ tracks of formatting a disk you can't use)
  45. Try different parameters and format again....sometimes a disk
  46. won't format double sided but is just fine single sided.

  48. When the formatting is complete, the Free Bytes will be displayed
  49. in the format window.

  51. To exit program click on "Quit". Your original color palette will
  52. be restored and the program exited.
